The Wine:
Delight in the aromas of zesty orange marmalade and ripe peaches while the well-balanced palate showcases vibrant citrus flavours, subtle earthiness, and a satisfying textural finish. This exquisite combination is achieved through meticulous skin contact during the vinification process.
Winemaking Notes:
The fruit was carefully hand-harvested and divided into two portions. The first portion underwent destemming, followed by a six-hour cold soak of the juice and skins before undergoing a delicate pressing cycle. The second portion, on the other hand, was immediately whole bunch pressed.
Both portions were then transferred to seasoned French oak barriques for natural yeast primary and malolactic fermentation. The lees remained in contact with the wine until shortly before it was racked for bottling. Wines were bottled under gravity and without fining or filtering.
